I used to watch this on cable a lot because I was a tv-addicted kid with a beatles hyperfixation and I remember it being one of the first movies I could really pinpoint as being “not good.” I guess as an adult I’ve gained more of an appreciation for busty robots in horrible wigs covering she’s leaving home.
Steve Martin’s maxwell’s silver hammer is kind of the best part of the movie. So iconic that he repurposes the exact same performance for little shop of horrors.
