Anora 2024
I have to say that Anora starts off well, it has a solid plot, and the acting and editing are quite decent. However, I personally find the formula of a hyper-frenetic second act with people constantly yelling exhausting. At times, it even felt uncomfortable. And my God... you could turn it into a drinking game every time they say 'fuck.'
I wanted to understand why it won over two films that clearly aligned more with Academy standards, like The Brutalist…
