  A top tier adaption of comic book source material and, dare I say, a rare instance of a sequel that surpasses its predecessor. Guillermo del Toro’s creature design and emphasis on practical effects make my heart sing. Always a treat to rewatch!

The shot composition is shit and the whole thing looks worse than my attempts at editing and color grading on iMovie when I was twelve. Not the caliber I expected with Denzel and Gary at the helm…
