  would have been 5 stars if the lighting wasn’t horrendous tbh, but knowing the behind-the-scenes drama just enhanced the watching experience. it was like don’t worry darling, except the movie was actually good.

  not only should there be less pentatonix, it should be a different artist or even a fake artist that everyone and their mom apparently loves. also this oh-so-coveted concert being held in a theater smaller than my high school auditorium cracked me up ngl

  also for being a 90% black cast, the film falls into some weird stereotypes that took me out of the immersion for a bit. for a non-spoiler example, it's interesting how layla, the main lead, is lighter-skinned and only has bone straight hair the entire film, while her outgoing and "sassy" best friend is darker skinned with braids....
