I forgot how much fun this entry was after the dour ST: The Motion Picture. Sure,it’s pretty much regarded as the high point of the original cast - the Empire Strikes Back if Star Trek. But the character moments are light and fun, like Bones and Kirk both horn dogging over Kirstie Alley. And Montalban can chew my scenery any day of the week, and I don’t care how homoerotic that sounds.

Nosferatu 2024
Visually sumptuous. Stagily staged. Almost more like a remake of the experience of watching Nosferatu as a kid and working through his confused reactions. I love Eggers but his films are impenetrable and I'm not always sure even he knows why. Also his sound mixes suck. But they're not like any other movies so that's super cool.
