If you can survive the first 20 minutes and then the meddling middle part, the third act will be worth it. I feel like they fully commit to the camp in the third part and Tim Curry gets to unleash his talents. I wish the characters costumes resembled the game pieces more, placing big blocks of flashy colors in the frames might have helped to indulge more in the camp aspect of the movie. You get promised a « house on haunted hill » but it doesn't fully deliver. It leaves you wanting more, a bit like when you play the boardgame that inspired this movie.
