not a fan of war films generally but a big fan of untold history!!! such an interesting story so glad this film shed light on this part of history so well. captain charity adams is an icon and kerry washington completely killed it in that role. honestly a perfect 5 but i had to dock .5 because that one side character who always has something to say was so annoying.

WHATCHU KNOW ABOUT THIS FILM???? no but seriously i don't know anyone who knows this film. it's so amazing. for me the entire vibe of nostalgia overshadows the fact it's quite dated. imo, there is something so interesting and weird and wonderful about pre-cgi special effects and how movies used to create magic and fantasy with the resources they had. also DAVID BOWIE??? hello????? literally what an amazing performance. but above all (and this is often one of the most important elements in a film for me) the soundtrack is literally amazing. i need "as the world falls down" as my wedding song tbh.
