Girl: “My Grandfather was taken by sharks...so I really hate sharks”
Boy: “Now I really hate sharks too”
This may be the best scriptwriting I have ever encountered. Though not sure if the writers knew the definition of an eye of a hurricane.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

THIS is the animation style we all need to lean in to, not the puffy picture-perfect stuff Disney is putting out, but an animation that lets it be known it’s animated. LOVE the soundtrack and LOVE the stunning shots. Since it was such an original idea, I was hoping the movie wouldn’t have the usual action kids-movie plot-line and script. And at first, I was excited, since it was so so good and funny, But alas the action came, and I felt like I was watching every other action movie. This movie is worth a watch, but remember it’s a kids movie.
Never thought I’d cry over the words ‘pull my finger’ but alas…here we are. This movie reminded me of the newer movie 1917, its intense action scenes were brilliantly done, the minimal music just lets the reality of the moment happen. This movie conveys the power, beauty, and reality of storytelling.
For an action movie, this is definitely one of the good ones. Actually made me laugh out loud, great song choices, and entertaining characters. The movie understood its purpose as an action movie and successfully leaned into it 🙌🙌. Gosling crying in the car made me cackle.
