this is the silliest little short indie whimsy film that i needed. frances is such a lovable weirdo in a world full of normies. i often thought every character in this movie beside benji and lev were soooooo boring and rude, but really, they were just normal people standing next to this unique character who really had so much personality even through her weirdo tendencies like her man walk and total awkwardness.

this movie tickled my brain and really made me think! maybe i’m just slow, but it did take me a minute to digest just what this movie MAY have been about. that said, once i figured it out (i think) i really loved this movie.
that said, while i was figuring out the movie, the soundtrack and cinematic experience allowed me to stay hooked. gorgeous gorgeous score that really added to the ambiance.
the acting was really good too!! woodcock…Translated from by

oh wow! this movie became 100x better with a second watch.
greta perfected lighting in this movie to perfectly capture change in time from a bright, happy past, to a gloomy, blue, present, which regains its light and beauty once sadness washed away.
the acting, the score, the cinematography, costuming, all so amazing! this movie truly felt like a perfect dollop of whipped cream.Translated from by -

not sure if i’d ever watch this movie again. i can’t say this was a very relatable watch, even as someone who grew up in a financial struggle. that said, i think the acting was pretty dam good.
there were some cool hidden subtleties in this movie that helped add a lot more substance, but to be honest, i did not enjoy watching this.
i am strongly against watching 13/14 year olds make out with older guys, wear revealing clothing, and strip to their underwear.Translated from by
