Horrifying. I didn’t scream or cover my eyes at any point, but man am I scarred. The presence of wealth mixed with an abandoned sense of humanity is a chilling theme in this movie. You either hate or feel sorry every single character in this movie. The resolution to the story as a whole could’ve been cleaned up a little bit. It is so dark but still watchable for some reason.
I was gonna give it 1 star because of all the wtf moments that took place (and not the good kind). But I would’ve felt bad cus Chloe Grace Moretz had to perform fake seizures for this part and she really went for it. You go girl. I love Kickass.

I’m always hesitant to jump into films based around tech/social media themes. Mainly because they’re so predictable and the middle-aged people who create them have no grasp on how young people actually function behind their screens. However this movie was perfectly depressing and a fair depiction of the lies and masks people hide behind beyond their profile pictures. Aubrey Plaza is a personal favorite of mine.
