  Oh man I was SO hyped for that scene (you know what I’m talking about) 

  A very unserious and entertaining movie that also ties in some political and social commentary and some moral/philosophical issues

  Ruffalo and his veneers were also deeply upsettling

  I love that I learned some history about some badass black women but  damn it was painful to watch. It had its moments though 

  Honestly though Perry did not to his research to have the opening scene in 1942 with black and white women coming out of school together but schools didn’t desegregate til 1954
