Poor Things 2023
Weird and wonderful. A truly outstanding film that I will be inspired by in all my future endeavours as an artist and film/theatre student. Was funny but also had some deeper undertones. Set, costume, sound design, colour, props, prosthetics… all of the above - amazing. A refreshing take on cinematography and the performances were amazing in particular from Emma Stone. Will keep an eye out for more of Yorgos Lanthimos’ work from now on.

Nosferatu 2024
Not a genre I usually go for so can’t say i completely enjoyed it but that’s a me problem more than it is the film (which could have sped up the pace a bit in the second half).
Some really stunning shots and the whole thing was pretty amazing (even if disgusting) to look at - hence the 4 stars. Lovely colour grading and sound design too. Same goes for the set, prosthetics and costumes. Really well made film and the casting was great.
Like I said not really my genre so it’s not something I’d watch again but it was impressive nonetheless.Translated from by
