This movie fell flat for me. It wasn’t horror in the way I expected… or in any way lol. I think the perspective was interesting, and the clarity in the shots were beautiful, it was just incredibly boring. I don’t think the ending made sense, and it left me disappointed and desiring something more.

This film was much better than I expected. It was being given such a hard time by social media, but I found it to be very heartfelt and, honestly, beautiful. As someone who is Mexican, I understand the critique, but I think we shouldn’t overlook the message. People stay hating on the musical numbers, but I found that the almost laughable simplicity of the lyrics made it even more genuine. My favorite song was “Papa”- brought me to tears. Also, Selena served cunt the whole time.
