  Waited 10 years for this film… cried for the first 10 minutes and for the last 30 minutes I couldn’t take the film seriously. The story line is shallow, I couldn’t feel so attached to the characters except for the heron man. Maybe felt as though the film was rushed? More of Arriety, the cat returns, marnie was there vibes which hurt my soul. 
  but it’s still a ghibli film and I cannot complain too much
