The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring 2001
Absolutely smitten with this. I think I’ve gotten so use to movies taking the piss out of themselves, and it’s become a common theme to introduce comedy that almost breaks the fourth wall and reminds you that you are watching a movie. So it’s refreshing to sit down and watch this beautifully crafted and unapologetically sincere film. I’m already so invested in these characters and the world and can’t believe it took me this long to watch (and appreciate) it.
