Pretty good and very meaningful. That said, the pacing felt weird and I'm annoyed we didn't see or learn more from the detective character. I know it would've undermined the point and I should probably rewatch it to make sure I didn't miss something.

Still very much worth a watch. I can't believe some people genuinely relate to this motherf***er though.

My boyfriend didn't get it. Women own the fire. I will not explain.

But in all seriousness, this movie is a brilliant painting of parental abuse, post-war trauma, corruption, and sex. It successfully evokes an era of history through camera work and editing. Though it doesn't spell things out, an eye for the implied won't miss much.

This is simply one of the most emotionally affective movies I've ever seen, and on a third viewing I have no choice but to make it my new favourite.

Mia is sympathetic and has a great arc, and her ultimate fate makes tragic sense in a satisfying way. The themes pull her in a few different directions, but not to the movie's detriment.

    Unfortunately, Mia's…

Late Night with the Devil is an excellent movie, and it's a shame that AI art had to worm its way in, no pun intended.

Late Night in many ways feels like an improved version of 2017's Ghost Stories, with similar themes about belief and social capital. Late Night makes its statement more nuanced however, trying to understand really why people are close-minded.

Unfortunately, some images during the ad-breaks are AI generated. This was pretty disappointing, but it's worth remembering…
