i don’t think i’m enough of a cinephile to love movies that have that feeling that you’re following along with a story that is happening regardless of whether there is an audience (if that makes any sense whatsoever), but every performance in this was absolutely incredible. mikey is a STAR and every actor in this was so believable. i know the last thing i should be doing is watching this movie and directing my distaste towards one of the woman characters, however if diamond has no haters i’m dead

the writing, the acting, the camera work, the editing, so many elements of this movie are just absolutely remarkable. the plot is a masterclass in creating a story that is a puzzle that takes the entirety of the film to solve. everyone’s performances are amazing, but hopkins and foster both as their individual characters and within their twisted bond are just so incredible.
