  The only thing better than Robert Pattinson is 2 Robert Pattinsons.

  But seriously, I liked this movie. The political/social commentary it is making is incredibly unsubtle and generally quite superficial but I was entertained. I’d say that none of its themes are subtle but that’s not inherently a bad thing. Nor is it out of the ordinary for Bong Joon Ho. I found this movie to be really moving in its portrayals of love, the human experience, the value of a life, etc. Could it have been better executed? Sure, but overall I enjoyed watching it.

  Hot Tub Time Machine 2010

  I enjoyed this a lot more than I ever thought I would. I did not expect a movie called “Hot Tub Time Machine” to be even remotely good, and I was wrong. It runs with its absurd premise and becomes something hilarious and surprisingly touching. I also have to point out how good the soundtrack is, really just the cherry on top to one of the best comedy movies I’ve seen in a long time.

  Feeling very lucky to have seen this in a packed theater. “Blue Velvet” really just checks every box for me. It’s unsettling and hilarious and horrifying and completely hypnotic. Watching this movie is jarring and it makes for such an entertaining, surreal experience. You flip between scenes of extreme depravity to ones of soapy melodrama and yet it feels so genuine. I will always love this movie for both its depth and absurdity
