  adam sandler broke my heart in this one. Barry's naïveté and goodness is beautifully contrasted by his burning anger when his wish for others to act as kindly as he does is not fulfilled.
  The scenes are beautfully crafted, with sensory overload and miscommunicative dialogue cranked up to 11 to put us in the shoes of the neurodivergent main character.…

  22. Watch a film that uses neon lighting

  This movie has flat characters, a dull, bare-bones plot, tedious dialogue, meandering scenes and gratuitous violence that leads to nothing.

  But hear me out: this is still somehow a beautiful, introverted fever-dream dedicated to Jodorowsky and reminiscent of Lynch. NWR has created an atmosphere that feels at once alienating and familiar, organic flower-arrangements clashing with neon lighting, and warm, soft colour palette clashing with the mindless violence on display.…
