I was at first very skeptical about the adaptation of this movie, mainly because I was in love with the robot's design in the book. But within the first two minutes, I saw that the creators clearly knew what they were doing with R.O.Z. She was robotic, careful, and most perfectly expressive for cinema.
Overall, the story was good and impactful. I do think that some scenes could have been changed further from the book to better fit a movie produced today.
I actually liked this better than the first one, probably because they doubled down on all the parts I thought were great. It's an easy and exciting watch with even more developed and fun characters to go along with it.
The dynamic between Venom and his boyfriend seems to just keep getting more entertaining. It would be nice to see even a lackadaisical show come out of their world.
A perfect execution of a heartwarming story about GENUINE passion and love.
