I’m sorry I really REALLY do not get the hype with this one. I don’t understand how they possibly could be so shallow in portraying these events when they gave the movie more than three hours to explore the themes. No characterization of addiction, no follow up on either instance of assault, and not even any communication about the manifestation of the holocaust’s trauma until the EPILOGUE, which even then is not featuring the main character speaking for himself. I don’t understand how this film could be so disjointed and scrambled politically.
