Red Rooms 2023
From the first scene with the red typeface I knew I’d love this movie. Amazing performances, slow build of tension leading to fantastic climax. Not gratuitous by any means- handled a difficult subject with elegance.
Obsession was the key word. I liked the technological angle, felt very accurate- “one nation under CCTV” and all that.
Watched director/producer q&a and they clearly put a lot of thought into being ethical in research and production. Maybe Quebec is real after all!
Score is excellent. Very unique sound design (director said his brother did the music?)
