The intersecting and complex lives of Magnolia’s protagonists exemplify the richness of the human experience. PTA’s thought-provoking screenplay is accompanied by symbolism throughout the film, adding layers and depth to a film that would be spectacular for its screenplay alone. Magnolia isn’t something you watch once and forget about - it’s a film that you watch sporadically throughout your lifetime, learning something new with every viewing.
