Looks pretty, I like the long shots. He stays faithful to the original and his obsession with aligning to original myth and folk traditions is cool. The inclusion of the Professors name to reflect ‘Albin Grau,’ the occultist designer of the 1922 film, adds weight as an architect of nightmares. If Count Orlak is death itself, Professor Albin is the artificial light (light-bearer/lucifer).
I tend to see a thread in all Eggers films as a story.. it’s interesting the film…

Oppenheimer 2023
Nolan killed it. Loved seeing a historical movie as an expressionist film through Oppenheimer perspective. It flowed really well and could feel the tension through its structure and the internal moral conflict. Oppenheimers indecisiveness on where he stands on anything morally leads him to search for meaning in discovery as an American Prometheus. It reminds me of my internal thoughts right before ordering the deluxe cravings box with extra hot sauce.
