a bit long so i had to watch in multiple parts:
first half, on the big screen, “as God intended”- Dr. Sieving
second half, on my phone with my noise cancellation headphones while i was standing against the stage of the 40 watt waiting for of a Montreal to come on
third half, on my laptop at home alone 👍
i was overall pretty invested and a big fan of the cinematography and editing👍

i love movies that take place within 24 hours/confined to one locale! the tight framing and cinematography was very effective in making me feel claustrophobic and distressed like my fellow overwhelmed bisexual baddie.
worst thing ab watching this was i was watching it w a gay person who, of course, streams via a projector… projected crookedly on a wall without enough empty space, so i primarily watched via the laptop sitting nearby 🫡

i literally only watched for paul dano and i honestly regret it. i love u paul, but i literally was rooting for ur character to kill himself he’s so awful & disgusting. other than that, the like the narrative & low quality budget. gives me gummo vibes

ugh i feel like i just excitedly ordered the most yummy, tasty, & expensive thing on the menu, had to wait a long time for it to come to my table, only for it to be cold and flavorless. don’t get me wrong, it’s very visually appealing and looks like it’d be good, but it was very unfulfilling and dissatisfying. it had the potential to be great, but ended up feeling very lost & even silly at times. wasn’t scary and tried too hard to be another silence of the lambs but with a predictable dumb twist ending revolving a satanic panic like oooh!
