  Definitely much more understandable plot, action wise, than the first film but still they lacked in giving the audience an actual background on Khan or his motives. They only subtly explained little details by implying the negatives within Starfleet. I assume that this was an objectively practical take on the dark side of the government. Khan's character definitely could have been flushed out way more than it was along with the history of his people, where and when they came…

  I didn't expect this film to be as interesting as it became. It started a tad slow and boring but developed and grew into a brilliant piece of fictionalised history. Brad Pitt definitely deserved an Oscar for this and it was rightly given to him. And what a supporting cast too, all brilliant actors and actresses that have gone on to do wonderful things. P.
