  it inherits all the problems from the stage show and adds some new ones via the pacing changes and the songs they cut out. it leaves mark cohen an empty husk of a character by removing most of the depth he can have. it's one of my favourite musicals ever and i'll never forgive it for that

  this movie was my favorite romcom for a very long time and i do not know why. still to this day it holds a special place in my heart. i would not call it good though.

  this isn't what i would in any circumstance call a good movie but there must have been some reason i watched it so many times as a kid that i had massive sections of it memorized word for word so i guess it has to get a like.
