The Shawshank Redemption 1994
Really? The highest rated movie ever? EVER? I mean the storytelling's fine, casting is decent, but to deserve being the "best movie of all time", I think you at least need to have rewatch value. If I'm not left wondering if I have just witnessed something that will alter my perspective on cinema, and if I don't even think about losing that memory just to experience it again, how am I supposed to convince people that this is a good movie?Alright at best.

Obviously it's a good movie, but that's it. People love to overrate every single decent thing and make it their whole personality. Honestly, if you think this deserves a rating of 3 stars or more, you're probably a virgin who has never seen anything else, watching sigma edits, and satisfying yourself in your mom's basement. It's an old movie, it has time value, and that's it. Don't make it a bigger deal than it is. Try talking to women. Live your life a little.
