  I like Jon Favreau’s work... or at least I thought I did until I watched this movie. Chef felt as if I were watching someone absolve themselves of absentee fatherhood through a poorly written film script... well, attempt to absolve themselves. The main character seemed more like a caricature of an egotistical chef (steeped in toxic masculinity) than an actual chef. Watch this movie if you’re in the mood to be disappointed. It didn’t even make me hungry.
