  this was sooo so good it sits so well and i can hear all the narration pacing around my head still

  people should care about this 10x more than Shawshank Redemption

  wowza. had a good dash of creep, good dash of female sexuality, and a strong base of victorian goth and gore. i enjoyed it more than i thought I would, felt adult in its themes and visuals but it left me sad and hollow, i always crave a final girl and this gave us a martyr girl instead

  short: she stares at him from across the room, he drifts towards her smelling of filth but she hugs him close

  two men standing inside a rotating hole that feels like a metaphor for men’s idea of women and or the industrial private profit complex and discussing how good it feels and to take your time was so on the nose

  also the children powering and maintaining the engine felt strange and dream like and moral panic #savethechildren 

  and we cheered for chris evan’s amputating his arm !! and the bomb to kill everyone !! “nice” 

  the set design was so fun and the dialogue was honestly so strange that i liked it, almost shakespearean at points
