  Poor Things 2023

  Stone's stilted movements were fantastic, she really got across the inhuman flesh golem physically. Overall I found the characters fantastic, and the twists and turns of the story were excellent (though I feel like some of the jumps between parts of the story seemed a little rushed.) The cinematography was beautiful, and the music in The Dance Scene was something I could jam to. The ending was mostly satisfying, but I feel like I was left a little sad and empty by their particular operation choice at the end.

  Absolutely cried towards the end of the movie. There was a moment in the beginning of the film that I had become SO engrossed in our little found family we were following that I forgot this was a Godzilla picture. The bonds and sacrifices of the characters were lovely. Some of the subtitles were iffy (from my beginner-level Japanese, so grain of salt) and honestly the Hyper Beam power up was a little ridiculous, but it was overall a gorgeous piece of film.
