  On this rewatch, the score is what struck out to me the most. Just so damn WHIMISICAL and FUN!

  And yeah, it's a classic. Insane movie but a classic nonetheless.

  So first thing out the gate, while I might love it for different reasons... I also LOVE a good sauce!

  But yeah, this movie is another example (for me) of being very very good but not quite great! Really funny in a dark way, and the production design and sets are very cool. Also, hammy Mark Ruffalo is best Mark Ruffalo.

  I dunno, I guess I just didn't connect with any of the characters that much? Maybe I'm missing something,…

  Such a haunting film.

  Weirdly enough, wish I hadn't read the book before hand just so I could experience the same reactions as the couple behind me going "Ah Jesus" or "Fuck sake" at the big plot points.

  Also, those people who complain about the runtime are insane because the three and a half hours felt like nothing and also needed because it took it's time and respected the story.

  Everyone should also read the book but yeah, go Marty
