Disney-Marvel finally let James Gunn make a full-on James Gunn movie first, and it has everything I like about his style. It’s a bit darker and more serious compared to the MCU and even the previous GOTG movies. Less quips and more actual emotion- whether that’s making you laugh or cry. And you’ll probably cry or at least shed a tear. Believe it or not, an MCU movie has heart and Gunn did it.

Action-comedy in the vein of a more family-friendly/comic-booky Lethal Weapon. It’s a fun, action-packed show that allows some of the more grounded MCU characters (if that’s a thing) a chance to shine. Kate Bishop in particular is a college student being pulled in multiple directions, and is a prodigy. She has the talent to be a hero, but is lacking in age and experience.
