All About My Mother 1999
I can barely remember this film, because while watching it, I missed two calls from my partner and found out the next day that he killed himself. I must have been engrossed, and the film must have been good for me to not have been on my phone the whole time. I think I remember really liking it, and it's a completely different vibe to the last Almodovar film I saw but I'm pretty sure it was also great.

First time watching it and yeah, okay, I get it. Like, it's really beautifully done, but the aggressive usage of slurs was weird and didn't need to be there. Would the quality of this film drop without the slurs? I don't think so. It's already so good, the weird bits just snapped me out of it. I'm just glad I can finally say I've seen it to people who keep telling me I *have* to see it.

Such a great movie with a wonderful cast! It feels exactly like how magic should feel-- where you sort of have an idea of what is going to happen and can't believe it's gonna happen but then comes the prestige and it's you just lose ur mind 10/10
