GENIUS. Absolutely favorite one of the Craig Bond films so far. The emotional depth, the amount of background we get on Bond's past, the twist with Moneypenny - GENIUS. The villain is... terrifying and enticing as hell. New Q is a gem.
Visually - a few scenes that are washed out, clearly a stylistic choice. Not necessarily a good one.
Liked more on second rewatch. Plot with Quantum and the Terra Project and how it all ties in with the Bolivian general is hard to follow. Good female lead, interesting outfit choices. Continues theme with the whole "government bureaucrats don't know jack shit, but Bond does and he's always right in the end." Bond also learns not to kill every lead by the end, a lesson he promptly forgets in the next film. Believe it or not, I like this movie.
Plot: ice palace - need I say more? But flow is pretty good, cohesive.
Female characters: didn't know it was possible to do worse after The World is Not Enough, but here we are. Both hero and villain Bond girls were useless (Berry) or too much of a stereotype (Pike). Again, they did M dirty here. They keep making the character worse and worse.
Humor: innuendos abound but, as per usual, new Q is a gift that keeps on giving. Gotta go rewatch live action Garfield just for him.
Plot: tuned out in second half
Female characters: villain is interesting, otherwise atrocious. They really start to do M dirty in this movie
humor: Q apprentice is funny, but most of the "humor" is just dad joke-esque sexual innuendos
