kinda went into this expecting it to be my new favorite thing which isn’t what happened, but due to my patient nature and obsession with animation I did still enjoy it. not something I would describe as a “good movie” but it’s definitely a piece of art that I’m happy exists.

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me 1992
As of right now this is the only media i’ve ever experienced that genuinely gave me the feeling of my blood “running cold.” I was already in awe of Sheryl Lee by the end of Twin Peaks and I’m not even sure how to start describing the kind of intensity she delivered here but I need to acknowledge it.

I did enjoy watching this for the most part, but I was sad that it seemed like even by the end it hadn’t made up its mind about what it wanted to be. There kept being moments where I thought it was about to turn into something more compelling but it never stuck with anything long enough and ended up feeling mostly like a compilation of partial ideas.
