The Bridges of Madison County adapted from the blockbuster novel of the same name is a title of quality I associate both for this successful film adaptation but it must be said for the equally as sensational stage adaptation which is among the great pieces of original music I believe ever composed for the stage. It's wild how a story such as Bridges which sits firmly in the cliché romance novel genre could translate on both film and stage to…

Death Becomes Her is a major film in my mind whenever I think of Meryl Streep's legacy. I mean there are countless moments of acting excellence i think of so fondly from Streep in regards to this cinematic classic. Given we are currently in a renaissance of Death Becomes Her with the ultra successful stage version currently playing on Broadway my revisit today was simply thrilling.

Meryl Streep plays the excellently named Madeline Ashton in this gruesome yet gorgeous 90's…

Music of the Heart of all the films of Meryl's career was the one I was least looking forward to revisiting given my less than enthused reaction to watching the film before or just how unexciting the films plot suggests and especially in a decade such as the 90's where Streep pushed the boundaries with a variety of projects Music of the Heart feels like a somewhat return to familiarity. I mean this was Streep's first time playing a real…

    I mean,
    I mean,
    I MEAN.

Give me a bunch of sexy spies, have two of them married in a Viriginia Woolf George Martha dynamic where the climatic scene of the film involves a fun game of lets reveal all the secrets and I'm sold.

This was a brilliant fun feature, 93 minutes long and containing a brilliant ensemble of actors I've been in love with for quite some time and I immediately wanted to watch the film again.

WHICH I WILL DO AS SOON AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE.

I have been anticipating a rewatch of this film for the past five months and it certainly did not disappoint.

While the initial overwhelmingness I felt during the first viewing isn't to the same level given I knew where the plot would go I still felt blown away by how large the entire event goes.

Director and screenwriter Coralie Fargeat really has made her mark on me to such an extent that I appreciate how fresh and exciting she manages…

Ustinov as Nero was just like an adult baby curiously discovering the world. It’s a campy performance that I find to be both terrible abd good at the sane time.
