It seems like such a long time ago I watched The Hours to discuss Julianne Moore's performance so given Meryl is the focus of March yet again I find myself watching this brilliant drama again. No complaining on my end given how absolutely in love I have always been with The Hours.

Meryl Streep plays the delightfully named Clarissa Vaughan in The Hours the lead of the films most contemporary story. She is a mother, wife, friend and just overall…

Adaptation. marks my entrance into Meryl Streep's post millennium film career (she lent her voice to Spielberg's A.I. Artificial Intelligence in 2001 but Adaption was her first on screen appearance of the 21st century) and given how busy she was during the first decade of this century for the next couple of days I'm gonna be double downing on Streep's film output with two titles for the each of the next five days.

Meryl Streep plays Susan Orlean who is…

After a couple more adventurous titles in Meryl Streep's filmography her 2004 remake of The Manchurian Candidate does feel like a return to formality. This being Streep's first association with a remake in her career is quite the interesting career move especially since the 1960's version and Angela Lansbury's original performance is so lauded critically having a stellar place in film history.

Meryl Streep plays Senator Eleanor Shaw the mother to Raymond Shaw and political figure at the centre of…

Angels in America even just writing the title down comes with so much history for it's many impressive stage productions and of course this monumental television miniseries which 22 years since it's premiere is just as impactful a series as any limited series produced today. With the two part plays massive success in the 90's the choice to adapt for television rather than film I am so grateful for such a choice as I wouldn't want any of this revelatory…

    I mean,
    I mean,
    I MEAN.

Give me a bunch of sexy spies, have two of them married in a Viriginia Woolf George Martha dynamic where the climatic scene of the film involves a fun game of lets reveal all the secrets and I'm sold.

This was a brilliant fun feature, 93 minutes long and containing a brilliant ensemble of actors I've been in love with for quite some time and I immediately wanted to watch the film again.

WHICH I WILL DO AS SOON AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE.

I have been anticipating a rewatch of this film for the past five months and it certainly did not disappoint.

While the initial overwhelmingness I felt during the first viewing isn't to the same level given I knew where the plot would go I still felt blown away by how large the entire event goes.

Director and screenwriter Coralie Fargeat really has made her mark on me to such an extent that I appreciate how fresh and exciting she manages…
