I'm fucking dying man who this movie is even for. It's not for those who liked the first film because it tries to walk back everything the first film accomplished but it's not for those who didn't like it either because it's not intelligent enough to walk it back correctly. It's not for Lady Gaga fans because she's here to play up Joaquin Phoenix, it's not for the musical enjoyers because the musical numbers are too one note to be…

A really lovely time at the movies. The trailer really made it a disservice but it makes sense due to the twist. Half a star because this cinematography quirk of overexposing lights annoyed me a lot lol, but otherwise actually really excited to rewatch it and delve into the wonderful world of spy films (and trying again with Sodebergh movies)

I think I need to have more time to sit with it lol. Possibly the most breathtaking and well-thought-out cinematography i've seen amongst all nominees this year (and again, Dune is right fucking there) but some parts of the second act made me feel.. ambivalent to say the least. But either way, we love you Lol Crawley and your funny silly name

mhmmm idk about this one gang. I know I shouldn't blame my own expectations on the film but really didn't expect the film to lean that much into the drugs storyline and at some point I did get what Luca is doing but most of the time it just feels silly and pretentious. The film was at it best when it was more grounded and less lynchian, and even then part of it just hinges on the cast being (maybe accidentally ?) funny. So yeah. A bit of a chop here
