The film has quite enough reason to accompany Rob to get his Truffle Pig (The reason of his life) but actually we don't have enough information about his previous life and why he would live in the forest, out side the city and urbanization. BTW, the role of Nicolas Cage is so wonderful and full of respect and dignity and he acts so deeply!
