but in all seriousness i really liked how they portrayed the time and effort it takes to make a relationship work despite external feelings. it’s cool to see how different jesse n celine’s worlds are despite being together, from nationality to gender to the possible small age gap difference. and also the way jesse sees celine vs how she seems him! and the expectations they hold for one another both subconsciously and explicitly. the essence of compromise, the innate desire for sex, the sacrifices parents make for their kids. watching this on valentine’s day hits different 😭
