  I watched this to distract myself after getting out of my first relationship. That is the only acceptable kind of lonely, scummy, hopeless feeling one must be in for the true rage this movie awakens to be, at least at the time, worth it. I cannot stand James Corden even when he has taken on the appearance of a human, and I don't care how much cringe Patrick Stewart's "performance" elicits, because I am still haunted by that disgusting hand.…

  Comedy: the Movie.

  First Chaplin movie for me, really appreciate the care and work in every little bit. Touching and knowing some of the context, really masterful considering the silent film was already an outdated mode by 1931. It doesn't matter; still laughed and felt powerfully.
