Creed III 2023
Formulaic, predictable, but very well done. You could almost strip the boxing out of this and it would stand in its own. A very personal story that establishes Creed as it’s own franchise.
Did it need Rocky? No. Did you feel his absence? Definitely in 1-2 scenes.
Johnathan Majors was great.
The relationship between Adonis and his daughter was sweet.

Avatar: The Way of Water 2022
Long and slow at times when doing the world building, some of the dialogue and visual cues were generic and cringe - they hit you over the head with “let’s trick him” “family family family”. Apart from that, loved it. Had a really fun time with it. The key themes were great, and a very sweet ending.

Some of the best Star Wars of all time… as well as some of the worst. Very sloppy writing and editing (convenience), questionable storytelling, lack of emotional build up for most key moments (as cool as the moments themselves are), a lot of ‘filler’ like attributes throughout the show, many missed opportunities (to utilise PT score, fixing some of the glaring plot holes between PT and OT, focusing more on the story at hand ie Obi-Wan), everyone constantly walking off…
