The gorgeously sexy and inevitably slightly spoilt and superficial love child of Call Me By Your Name and The Talented Mr. Ripley. You might even say that to adore this film is probably how it feels to be infatuated with a shallow, physically stunning object of desire like Felix.
I don’t think this is a “fault” of the film. In fact I think that to be able to adore something in spite of the relatively cursory nature of its themes…

Watching this was like eating your favourite ice cream and having just one scoop too many so you feel a little nauseous after, but with no regrets because it tasted so good and made you feel loved.
All of this whilst wearing 7 layers of clothes, each of which either cropped or low waisted that you wouldn’t have looked twice at in a charity shop until 2021 - half of them made of velour.
