Extremely corny and predictable, but still a fun “turn off your brain” type of movie. Probably Kevin Hart’s best acting performance so far albeit not great. Ursula Corbero and Vincent D’onofrio need to be in more high-profile titles as they were both the highlights of the cast. I think they deserve to star in more serious box-office hits (as D’onofrio was earlier in his career).

This movie confused me and gave me anxiety at the same time. It’s easy to understand what’s going on, they just went about it in a way where you have to put the puzzle together yourself. Also gives an interesting comedy on digital and physical media

A very thought-provoking and unique story about trauma, both childhood and adulthood, that is both sickening and compelling at the same time. The movie is bolstered by great performances of Charles Melton, Natalie Portman, and whoever the Pianist is that made the harrowing melody that plays throughout the movie. I can see the movie being slow for some, but I do recommend watching.

There were parts of this prequel  that were fantastic and did very well for world-building and explaining what we would know Panem as in ‘The Hunger Games’ movies, however this movie could have and should have been broken into 2 movies in my opinion. There were a lot of pacing issues where certain parts of the movie seemed slow and others seemed rushed. Overall it was a good movie, but could’ve been much better.
