Persona is fascinating, the fact that we shall never know if Elisabet is a figment of Alma's imagination or vice versa drives me insane. This ambiguity, while frustrating, seems intentional. Throughout the film, Elisabet keeps to herself, while Alma confesses all of her secrets---establishing a clear contrast between repression and expression. Such an interesting film and unlike anything I've seen before.
