Watchmen 2009
This movie is entertaining bc the original story from the graphic novel is rlly interesting and there’s like an occasional cool Zac Snyder shot, but other than that this kinda sucks in a lot of ways. Also, having been reading a lot of internet discourse it sucks to see a lot of people trying to pick a hero from the story when the whole point from the original creator is that all of them are heroes and none of them are.

With the exception of maybe Dune 2, this was my favorite movie of the year so I’m hyped to see it win best picture. It’s got a lot of Safdie brothers type shit going on which I love. I also think a woman’s opinion of the sex worker discourse is probably more valuable than mine.
