A Mikey Madison masterclass coupled with one of the most beautifully shot+produced films I have ever seen. The contrast in the light and dark of scene changes was beautiful, pairing with the gut wrenching and humorous moments (sometimes both happening at the same time i.e home break in). MM and the team of producers absolutely deserve all the flowers they have gotten and will receive.
Sit down camel man
Finally got the chance to watch after 13 years and I was not disappointed. Yes the flow of the story is a little off and yes there are some inconsistencies, but come on...its f-ing Batman. Tom Hardy and Christian Bale's performances alone are enough to put this as a one of the greats. The former absolutely steals every scene he is in.
Beautiful cinematography, effects, score-everything a superhero movie should be. Absolute masterclass that never gets old.
Incredible set up/world building for the Dark Knight movies. Lays out plot lines and character arcs well, no major complaints other than the lack of a true fear-striking villain. Cillian murphy delivers a good performance as Scarecrow, but not great, and something about Ra's al Ghul just doesn't feel menacing.
