I wanted to watch a film in the theater. Because of the schedules, I ruled out my first two clear options: Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu and The Brutalist. So, with some doubts, I decided to go with “All We Imagine as Light”, and I don’t regret this decision. It is a great movie— a film that begins by showing beautiful yet realistic images of the great city of Mumbai, first captivating you and then taking you on a physical and emotional…

How terrific and terrifying Christopher Lee is as he follows the movements of a traditional ritual song.
Although I had read some good reviews about this film, I discovered a better film than I expected.
An amazing horror tale, but also an enjoyable farce on religions and gurus.
Note: Watching the film, I recalled the television of my childhood—the masks, the surreal, the mixture of human and animal, the folklore, the dances. Tears welled up in my eyes. I am very lucky; I grew up enjoying fun television shows of the highest quality.

I enjoyed this movie, although it is a pure divertimento. David Fincher gives away a lot of beautiful images in this simple and effective story.
The best: The Smiths. Yes, I have read that it was a decision during the post production, but it fits perfectly.
The updated killer: It is difficult for me to not think about ‘Shame’ every time I see Michael, even when he is disguised as a German tourist.
    Lady elegance: I adore Tilda.
My surprise: the joke of the bear. I  had only heard the joke told by vulgar humorists.

This a good thriller/drama directed by Paul Schrader. Maybe it is not as hard as First Reformed, but it contains several interesting thoughts that invade your head (the scourging, the redemption, the forgiveness, etc.).
The main actor and actresses have an excellent performance. At times, my mind wanted to play, reminding me of the great Viggo in Eastern Promises.
