I did not sleep well after watching this. The corruption in Cure seems to exist at the periphery, whereas here it's all encompassing. I'm most disturbed by how much I empathize with the rage and detachment experienced by Mutsuo Yoshioka's character. Our society is afflicted by many evils, most of all a total disregard for human life. Once you notice it, the sound won't stop ringing in your ear.

Still can’t relate to Nolan’s robotic attempt at painting love as a physical force. McConaughey does heroic work here holding this thing together when the other performers seem lost.
Surely one of the best looking movies of the 2010s, however. 70mm IMAX is a wonder.
