A perfect part for Richard Gere. Norton's performance is "good" in the sense that it is memorable, along the lines of Paul Dano in The Batman. Some actors try to pack a movie's worth of performance into a couple scenes -- luckily for Norton, he is given full reign to chew up a scene. This movie is lurid in the best way. A courtroom movie that has nothing to do with the legal system.
